So what’s the well-dressed Emo wearing now that the weather’s warming up?

Most Emos keep an ample supplies of vintage t-shirts–always a bit tight-fitting. They should also show a bit of wear, and a funny slogan is nice.


Also include a few “ringer” shirts (t-shirts with the circular collar area done in a dark color). These were popular among the mainstream population in the late 1970s, and among Emos there’s a resurgence in their popularity in the 2000s.

Remember though: Like the vintage t-shirt, this should look a few years old–never new. As for pants, something dark is always in good Emo style. And for shoes, go with Converse Chuck Taylors; they’re considered always in style as alternative wear, and most Emos love them. But whatever shoes you wear, remember: For the true Emo, it’s American-made only, please.
